The song captures listeners with its dark, mysterious essence, similar to that of The Weeknd. The lyrics are raw and empowering, proclaiming an acceptance of post-relationship life and newfound independence, amidst an underlying hurt that you can feel in her distinct vocal delivery. “Scarlet” drops late April 2020. Charis recently performed at the Los Angeles Fashion and Music Conference benefiting MTV's Staying Alive Foundation.
